Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis with a King III Curve
21 Year old female with progressive scoliosis, King III curve, and severe cosmetic deformity Thoracic pain; failed to respond to conservative therapy. The patient has significant flexibility with reduction to 30° on the right bending. She also has horizontalization of the L2 vertebra as the neutral vertebra on left side bending.
Thoracic Pedicle screws were used to induce a better correction and to improve the three dimensional deformity. This is an improvement on the alternative procedure: hook rod instrumentation. Postoperative x-rays show complete correction by employing Thoracic Pedicle Screws. Balance was achieved in the sagittal and frontal planes
